I am the luckiest girl in the world
I was born in Munich at the beginning of World War Two. Life was scary and hard with bombs falling all around,and a great shortage of food. My father was divorcing my Motherand thus put extra burdens on my shoulder,as I was the oldest of 4 children. My escape was dreaming abouthow I would like to live my life when I grew up.
Determined I was, with willpower and hard work I madeall my dreams come true. Living by the sea, traveling the world and doing what I love best,  painting the beauty that surrounds me. I spend the winters in Sayulita, where I have a great studio overlooking the beach . The summers in Santa Fe where I have my 2nd studio close to town and in walking distance to Canyon Rd and Nedra Matteucci Gallery where I show my paintings year round.
In the spring I travel to France where I have been teaching a workshop in the Provence for the last 6 years. Surrounded by the beauty of blooming lavender, poppies and Sunflowers. A feast for my eyes and my artistic palette.
 Fall 2005 I made a 2nd trip to Europe, teaching in Tuscany. A magnificent and very painterly part of the world the light and mood so different from Provence. This exhibition at Galerie Des Artistes is all about my love to share all the different feelings that emerge. How can I express them, tell the story and capture mood of the time of day, so different in each season in each country. Many of my paintings sell to people who have been there and share my feelings .
Looking those paintings brings back joy and wonderful memories. And for those who have not been fortunate to travel there yet, they will start dreaming about some day having an opportunity to go, or the next best thing ,looking forward to owning one of my paintings.
