Festival of Light and Color

The vital intensity of the natural light and the effect of expansive exuberance that its presence confers to the atmosphere colours purified by a pristine air, inherent climatic qualities to the magical essence of Puerto Vallarta, are generously recreated in a plastic festival of fantasy and good art.
 Painter, photographer, journalist and narrator, Roberto Bermejo, through his pictorial work exalts the natural virtues of Vallarta and its people by means of idyllic scenes that they relate, with the assertive singing of the brush, captivating passages of the paradise. In this sense, the result of his production contains a sort of tribute to the city in which he has lived during most of his life and in where has developed an extensive creative work.

Tribute which, with the intervention of the fantasy, its duplicatedin the series "Vincent in Vallarta”, in where Van Gogh – another convinced lover of the  colour fulfilled of light – takes a breath in a park of the port, has a coffee in Olas Altas, transits by the town streets on board of an urban bus or ignites with wind lights the nocturnal sky of the bay. An achieved impressionistic style that, under the influence of a powerful imagination, becomes with fortune to the surrealism and displays images to us like the one of "the Octopus family on their daily nocturnal stroll during one night; sinister, but fresh" or those of the "Fest Jazz" with the piano, sax, clarinet, drums and, reclined harmoniously on the waves of the sea. Oils and mixed techniques, managed with one varied palette in radiating and fresh tones, in where landscape and open horizon are synonymous of the excellent space quality of depth, as a constant and perceivable compositive element through the whole production of the author.
