Bottles on the Balcony

An excellent exhibition compiling the recent production of Meg Munro, will be inaugurated on December 1rst, 7-10 pm, at The Loft Gallery. This exhibition will be open to the public until December 31.
Meg Munro requires little introduction. The high quality of her work is deservedly recognized among art collectors, the fruit of a brilliant career, origins of which go back to the eighties, when she decided to establish her residence in Puerto Vallarta. In North America she is a member of the National Watercolor Society, awarded on several occasions –Watercolor West XXXV and Associated Artist of the Inland Empire, in California—and has sat as a juror in other painting contests. During 2004 she participated, among other 24 international artists, in a plastic creation workshop in the French coast: a Homage to Mondrian.This year in Mexico, she participated in the prestigious Salón de la Plástica Mexicana.
 Her unmistakable style rests in a solid net of attributes that is, simultaneously, a sum of technical virtues: a conscientious neatness in the drawing, the compositive rigor, the achievement of an original chromatic harmony sustained in the separation of colors and the saturation of the paper used like support. Her work, the finished product, is closely linked to the intimate artist’s soul: Meg Munro possesses a positive and calm character that guards her firm will and perseverance. Her work reflects it.
Following a long series of successful annual exhibitions, where her creative impulse was given to the themes of landscaping, still life, naturalism and the chromatic splendor of flowers, Munro explores, on this occasion, a new muse: glass and its reflections.
