Unforgettable Christmas Concert at the
Estudio & Café of Federico León de la Vega!
For the fourth consecutive year the Estudio and Café of Federico Leon de la Vega was flooded with a Christmas atmosphere. Full of lights, music, and mainly of faith in unity and well wishing, the place managed to gather friends and art and happiness lovers in order to participate in a dream event which was made possible, like every year, thanks to the dream, work and dedication of Federico, Luly, Lupita and Victoria.
In an open setting illuminated by candle lights, the attendees occupied the totality of the placed chairs, while the banquet was quickly and silently prepared in the kitchen. Children were the inevitable stars of this and every Christmas event. They contributed with their games and laughter, creating an atmosphere of more warmth.
At seven o'clock sharp, a few musical notes were the perfect frame to start a harmonious Christmas concert carried out by privileged voices: the Women Choir of Nick Salmans, the Quesa Divas, Sharon Baughman and David White were only some of the magnificent singers who participated, always accompanied by the pianist Nina Venalainen, the guitarist Rigoberto Mora and Johnny Petree a t the saxophone.
After the Christmas Carols of Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz, the attendees enjoyed themes of a Christmas Potpourri with "What Sweeter", "The Placer", "Dreamers", "Hashi Venu" and "Oh Holy Night". But that was not all yet, as the choirs of "It came upon the midnight clear", "Good King Wenceslas", "Angels we have heard on high", "Hark the herald", "Deck the halls” and “Jingle bells" also formed part of the Potpourri.
Almost at the end of the performance Federico Leon de la Vega and his daughter Victoria appeared on stage. Accompanied by applause and tokens of affection, they tenderly and beautifully intoned the song "The Rainbow Connection", causing a huge and well-deserved standing ovation upon finishing.
Watching from the distance Luly de Leon de la Vega applauded her husband and her daughter with enthusiasm and then talked to PV Mirror about the origin of this beautiful celebration: "this it is the fourth consecutive year that we carry out this festival, it has always been with Christmas music and at the end we all have dinner together. Everything began thanks to Federico’s dream of enjoying Christmas in the company of friends. Therefore we invite all the residents of the area of Nuevo Vallarta in order to rejoice together during this type of events here."
Victoria and Federico take singing lessons together, sharing those magical moments that turned the stage upside down during the night of the concert.
After the end of the musical concert another one was carried out, this time with the tasty harmony of food flavors. During this occasion the Chef of Cecatur Sixto Mejia and his pupils were in charge of dinner, supervised by Lupita. The menu touched everybody’s taste fibers with a "fresh corn soup with mushrooms", a juicy "fillet mignon in red pepper sauce" and a "corn basket with farmer salad". And of course dinner would not have been complete without an exquisite dessert which consisted of "Arabian dry fruit cake with cinnamon".
The hosts bid farewell to each one of the invited guests, wishing them the best for the season and the New Year 2007, reminding everyone that the joy of Christmas is always found and carried in our hearts.
