ART NOW is an endeavor of The Loft Galeria to bring to Puerto Vallarta a refreshing example of cutting edge art, produced in Mexico, comprising the work of two artists of major relevance in the national circuit of contemporary art: Cisco Jiménez and Reynaldo Diaz Zesati. The high quality of their bodies of work and the stellar reception given them both at the institutional level and art market, has allowed them to exhibit in the most prominent national spaces devoted to art. It has also propelled them beyond Mexico’s borders with well-deserved significant positions in the highly competitive world-wide movement of contemporary art.
In only the last two years, the work of Cisco Jiménez has been exhibited in Casa Lamm, the MACO; Mexico Contemporary Art Fair, Museum of Mexico City and in the Museum Carrillo Gil. He’s participated in the ARCO Fairs in Madrid in 2005 and 2006, the Anthony Reynolds Gallery of London and the Compton Verney Foundation, Warckshire, England, as well as in ARTEBA, Buenos Aires, Mexican Report, Washington, DC., Center of Contemporary Art of Almagro, Spain, ARTCOLOGNE, Germany, Lisbon Art Fair, ART TORONTO Art Basel Miami and Miami Scope, among others.
On the other hand, works by Diaz Zesati have been exhibited in MACO Mexico Contemporary Art Fair in 2005 and 2006 editions, Monterrey Arte al Día, Metropolitan Museum of Monterrey (2003), and has been selected in the Seventh and Fifth Biennials Femsa (2005 and 2001) and in the XXII and XXV National Encounter of Young Art (2003 and 2005), among others.
ART NOW will be open to the public from the 3rd. to the 30 of January /07. The inauguration will be held on Wednesday, January 3rd. from 7 to 10 p.m.
