Raymundo Andrare – Travellers

When one is not a learned scholar in the art of painting, independent of personal taste, when one does not know what are the aspects and elements that should be considered in order to appreciate a piece of work, then one can probably be impressed very easily by any novice painter. Nevertheless, being in front of a work by Raymundo Andrade, anyone can realize that the author authentically expresses what he thinks and feels.
Using the techniques of European masters ranging from late Renaissance times [Venetian school] to Spanish Baroque and the Dutch school, Raymundo knows how to create his own process of technique allowing him to obtain unique nuances.
The painter says: When I paint I create a reflection of my world based on the belief that the human condition, throughout the years and events, continues to be the same. I am not impressed by technological advances, because in spite of them we continue to be the same beings, facing the same problems and sufferings humanity has endured for many centuries. We all move in the same direction, towards our final fall. And that is what I show in my pieces of work, wishing to identify myself with the inner world of my public and collectors. To give my best in each one of my pieces of work shaping my private world is my philosophy of life. For me this is more important that any other thing, it is my daily necessity!
 Raymundo is a self-taught painter who began to study in 1990. He started his career in 1993 painting his memories. Raymundo Andrade is a doctor by profession surrendering to the fascination and passion for painting. When admiring his paintings, it can truly be distinguished that the brushstrokes have been carried out with such an exactitude which can only be achieved by a surgeon conducting a surgical intervention. Visiting his study and penetrating his work I dare to say that the art of this Raymundo Andrade is impeccable, upright and impressive.
Having lived and worked in Puerto Vallarta for ten years, the painter has already has transcended internationally, because besides participating regularly in world-wide art fairs, he exhibits exclusively in galleries of Chicago, Illinois, Santa Fe, New Mexico, San Francisco, California and Spain, among other places.
On January 24th Raymundo Andrade will exhibit a group of approximately twelve pieces of work under the title of “Travelers” in the Gallery Omar Alonso. The exhibition will be inaugurated between 7:00 and 9:00 pm and everybody is welcomed, especially those with a brave heart, interested in art, ready to undertake an unexpected trip that is completed without the necessity of moving from the place you are at.
A single color in the pieces of work of this magnificent painter can transport the observer towards spaces perceived in the painter’s inner world thus turning the observer into a traveler of his work.
