Pop Goes Vallarta.

It will never be enough to insist on the fact that, in painting, the attainment of a good piece is supported mainly in the solidity of the drawing, specially at times at which we see authors who, approach the abstraction before accomplishing the dominion of the elementary techniques of drawing.
This is not the case of Claudia Delgado Porter. Her dominion of drawing, evident in each one of her pieces, is  the resultant of the formal exercise and practice. In her recent production, she uses, with very good results, the method of Blind Contour, popularized by Kimon Nicolaïdes, in its book The Natural Way To draw (1941), which presents itself as an effective training aid, in order to develop capabilities in this discipline. Claudia Delgado Porter, fixing their eyes on the outline of the model or object, draws the contour very slowly in a steady, continuous line without lifting the pencil or looking at the paper, obtaining pieces that has sufficient quality and character to be considered as a work of art.
 Some other virtues of her work are the very good balance in the composition, and the attractive chromatic values that displays in fields of color, finished almost in an industrialist way ad hoc with the contemporarity of her work.
Claudia Delgado Porter studied Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in The Ringing School of Art and Design, in Sarasota, Florida (1998). Works of her authory has been exhibited in the Visual Sarasota Arts Center, Florida (1999), the Ward-Nasse Gallery, of New York (2003), in the Noho Gallery, New York (2000), and in Petrol Gallery, Portland (2005).
