Jorge Jurado or The Silent Growth
One line progresses; without making noise, it is describing on thepaper a line winding spiral. The spiral grows and grows until it begins to cover the entire surface. Before, all this, it was immaculately white and now is vibrant.
 The work of Jorge Jurado operates according to this same strategy: the silent growth. Jurado moves in the world of organic forms with elegance and economy of means. Without pause and without haste, in his paintings and artistic executions are manifested predominantly, volcanoes, smoke, plants, roots, a Plutonic underworld that invites us to enter into the depths of a universe, even though hidden, and know it shows thanks to the work. Clouds, mountains, sea waves and many other elements of nature take shape through the use of various materials, such as wood, iron or paper. The work is placed Out of context, synthesized and stylized, therefore when it reaches us its poetic burden has been significantly increased, but within an order amazingly delicate and ingenious.
Thus, the works of Jorge Jurado is deeply lyrical it will never become Tedious. Jurado has been responsible for distilling his reasons in such a sophisticated way that what we are offered is its essence, an essence that silently grows and reaches us. The fascination with nature, Jurado said, comes from a free and puerile susceptibility as a child that explores. Certainly the slings proportions of the land under which he creates his art, wakes upon those that appreciate creations a yearning to return to nature.
