The printed media in Puerto Vallarta

Puerto Vallarta is one of the tourist
destinations -if not THE tourist destination- with the
most printed matter available anywhere for the information
of tourists with regard to the events and the activities
they may enjoy and the places they should visit while
on location.
Besides a great number of maps surrounded
by ads, some of which are very useful like the one published
by Lifestyle, there are also weekly English-language
publications like Vallarta Today (which is inserted
within a daily International section), the Bahía
de Banderas paper, and the locals' favorite, the Tribune
(Anna Reisman's home paper) with the most respected
reporters and contributors in town. The Property Journal,
specialized in real estate, comes out twice a month.
Most of this kind of publications may be found in the
lobby of hotels, restaurants, real estate offices and
travel agencies, galleries and other high-traffic spots
around town. They are free and each gives relevant information
on the destination - in its own style.
There
are also tourist guides that specialize in restaurants,
and high class magazines such as Vallarta Lifestyle,
Huésped, In & Out, The Key of the Bay, and
Homes & Living Vallarta called "The Luxury
Magazine".
Among the latter, I would like to
mention that Homes & Living Vallarta has impressed
me tremendously. I remember that when its first issue
hit the streets, thinking of the position and prestige
of Lifestyle, I couldn't imagine that it would position
itself so quickly. From that first issue to the just-released
third edition, we can see great improvement in the quality
of its content and its printing. As its name indicates,
this magazine specialized in the real estate industry
as well as the lifestyle that those with high purchasing
power can enjoy in Vallarta. Through its articles, exceptional
photography and contributions, it also promotes the
activities to be found and enjoyed in the bay area of
the most Mexican of all tourist destinations in the
country. As they say it so well, Homes & Living
Vallarta is an excellent tool for all those who want
to rent, buy or sell properties in the entire region
of the Bay of Banderas. It can also definitely be considered
as an investment guide with the security and protection
of the investor in mind.
The format of this magazine is very
fresh and attractive, and because of its content and
graphic quality, once you start reading it, it is very
difficult to put down.
This quarterly magazine has a circulation
of 20,000 and apart from its sections on "Who is
who" in the real estate industry, it also deals
with the arts, culture, architecture and history of
Vallarta, with suggestions, recommendations and more.
The current third issue deals with the following topics
of interest: Investments in the North Coast, Myths and
Truths About
, the Casa de Mis Amores in Playa
Patzcuarito, Financing and Insurance, FOVI Credits for
Nationals and Foreigners, the New Fiscal Reforms in
real estate, the Hidden Power of the Runes, Architecture
and Ecology.
According to the information we acquired
from Homes & Living Vallarta, it is distributed
in the lobbies of Gran Turismo hotels, 5 and 4 star
hotels, real estate agency offices, galleries, golf
clubs, exchange booths, notarial offices, travel and
car rental agencies, tours in and out of the city, restaurants,
magazine stands, tourism department offices, consulates,
and at the airport.
The remainder will cover public and
private tourism organizations, company offices, cultural
events, and direct mailings to members of public and
private professional associations within the country
and outside.
As editor of an international electronic
medium of information, and with all due respect, I definitely
recommend that visitors to our beautiful destination
get a copy of Homes & Living Vallarta magazine.
I also take this opportunity to extend
my sincere congratulations to Ms. Jhovanee Monge de
Rottigni, its Editorial Director Editorial, and to her
collaborators, all experts in the real estate industry.
Until next time
