San Pancho Restaurants

When I think of restaurants in San Pancho, it simply
amazes me of the large amount of great places we have to eat and spend
time with family and friends. Thirty-three places ranging from taco corners,
pizza restaurants, seafood stands, hamburger joints to the nicest of restaurants
with unique ambience (we even have European dinning). All are different
from one another. Some are open all day, others only at night and some
only for breakfast. The growth of the number of restaurants has been gradual.
Except for a small couple of new places, all the rest have been around
for quite a while. I enjoy the variety - if you have a craving for a certain type of cuisine, you will be
able to satisfy it somewhere in San Pancho. I respect creativity and enjoy
seeing how each owner has found a new space in the pueblo to offer choices.
It is a real treat to be able to find such diversity in a small pueblo. Personally,
I am glad to have them all. I love to eat breakfast in a little place on
main street called Breakfast with Chayo. The coffee is great and the food
is wonderful - all in an outdoor, sidewalk setting.
LUNCH.
At noon, if fresh fish filet or fresh shrimp is
what you prefer on any given day. La Chalupa Restaurant is the place to
be. This boasts a family-type atmosphere and is been around for approximately
30 years. The restaurant owns the fishing fleet - so it also doubles as
a fish market. They serve a bit of everything including a full menu of
real, down to earth Méxican
food. Enjoy your lunch under one of the two big palapas along with an agua
fresca or a cold beer. When you go there don't forget to meet the owner La
Chalupa. I always describe this place as simple, but good - and the prices
are more than reasonable.
LA OLA RICA
 For dinner in an elegant, casual atmosphere, try La Ola Rica Restaurant.
This has been a favorite for people on their first visit to San Pancho as
well as for those who already know the quality and great service they have
to offer. It is common to hear people say this is one of the best restaurants
in the whole area. La Ola Rica Restaurant is one of the many reasons why
San Pancho has a special personality that is noticed right away when people
come here. The food here is to die for. The shrimp dishes and the salads
are from another world and the margaritas are terrific. The owners, Gloria
and Triny, really know how to treat their clients in a special way. This
year they have an excellent Cuban dance band that plays every Tuesday. La
Ola Rica is open for dinner Tuesday through Sunday.

Siempre que pienso en restaurantes me asombra el
gran número de lugares
que tenemos aquí para comer y pasar un rato agradable con amigos y
familia. 33 lugares, que van desde los puestos pequeños de hamburguesas,
tacos, carnitas, de mariscos, pizzerías, hasta el más elegante
y popular con un ambiente casual. Cada lugar con su toque personal y su menú,
algunos solo venden desayunos, otros están abiertos todo el día,
otros solo sirven cena. Me agrada la oportunidad de experimentar diferentes
sazones, estos restaurantes están ya establecidos desde hace tiempo
a no ser solo por un par de lugares pequeños que abrieron recientemente.
El crecimiento en el número de restaurantes ha sido gradual y me gusta
la manera como los dueños han buscado un espacio nuevo en cuanto a
la comida que eligen servir. Personalmente me gustan todos depende en el
antojo del día y listo. Algunas mañanas disfruto desayunar
en un pequeño lugar que se llama Desayuna Con Chayo en la calle principal,
tiene mesas afuera, acogedor, delicioso café, rica comida y solo sirven
por las mañanas.
COMIDA
Al mediodía puede usted comer un delicioso filete de pescado o frescos
camarones como usted los prefiera, el Restaurante La Chalupa es un lugar
familiar que existe desde hace aproximadamente 30 anos, aquí sirven
un poco de todo y cuentan además con un amplio menú de antojitos
mexicanos. Disfrute su comida acompañada de agua fresca o una cerveza
bien helada, bajo una de las dos grandes palapas y cuando este por ahí no
se olvide de conocer la dueña la Chalupa. Los precios son muy razonables,
yo siempre describo este restaurante como un lugar con comida sencilla y
deliciosa, abierto de 7:00 a.m. a 10.00 p.m. todos los días.
LA OLA RICA
 Para la cena en un ambiente especial, elegante casual
y acogedor La Ola Rica es el Restaurante que ha logrado ser el favorito
de los turistas que visitan San Pancho y de todos aquellos que reconocen
la calidad en la comida y el excelente servicio que aquí se ofrece, es común escuchar
frases como La Ola Rica es el mejor Restaurante de toda la región
y es verdad por algo San Pancho es un pueblo diferente con un cierto encanto
que se respira de inmediato, en este restaurante la comida es siempre igual
de buena, las ensaladas y camarones son de otro mundo, las margaritas hummmm!
riquísimas, pero eso no es todo, sus propietarias Trini y Gloria saben
de veras como entretener a sus clientes y darle a su negocio generosidad
a través de la buena música que cada semana ellas ofrecen,
este año cada martes a las 7:00 p.m. una banda cubana de primera ameniza
este bello lugar y si le gusta bailar pues adelante a divertirse en grande.
La Ola Rica abre de martes a domingo solo por las noches.
