FROM THE NORTH SHORE

San Pancho News
By: Elvia & Geno Lamphiear – April 2006

An update if we may on an article we wrote last September. At that time, Elvia & I introduced you to Steve & Diana Cooper in the following reprint of that article:

“Elvia & I make it a point to try not to mention work-related topics in our articles… but this story about some new “unforgettable characters” to San Pancho sort of ties in with our work… - so here we present:

Too Good Of A Story Not To Share…

In early March of 2005, a family was sitting in our office.  The day before we had looked at several properties with them and were preparing our new game plan for the day. The family first had us all hold hands while they led us in prayer asking to find the perfect property. After the prayer, I was working on the game plan with the family while Elvia helped a local couple that had just walked in.

The local couple left and Elvia informed us all that the couple had, JUST  THEN as they were talking to Elvia, decided to sell a property they owned. The family was excited!  We walked to the property and right away they realized this was the piece and bought it!  Within 15 minutes of the prayer, the prayer was answered!!

Some folks would just call it luck – we believe this was yet another example of the power of prayer!  Amazing!!!

We love that short story and even have it posted on our bulletin board! The four family members present that day back in early March, 2005 included Robert & June Cooper and their grownup daughter, Jane Miller and “sort-of-grownup” son, Steve Cooper… They are an amazingly humorous, seriously religious family – with Steve (while being the spokesperson for the family/group) is seriously, the “King Of Humor”.

Steve and his beautiful wife, Diana (a character in her own right) gave up their jobs in Woodburn, Oregon and moved down here to San Pancho full time to have constructed what is to become in the future known as “Roberto’s Bungalows”.  As they get closer to completion, we will write a more detailed story on Roberto’s Bungalows.

Steve will, on ANY occasion, march full stride into a crowd, arm fully extended to shake as many hands as he can – and loudly announce and ask:  “Hola – I’m Steve Cooper!!  What’s YOUR name??” He does this in such a humorous way that I’ve yet to see anyone become offended. Quite the contrary, he can instantly make any number of life-long friends as folks recognize that he is in no way a threat of any kind… just an innocent, religious, humorous man who enjoys talking to people, partaking in a good tequila now and then, in his own special way, witnessing to others in ways to not let anyone feel uncomfortable (I like his style).

Poolside and in the pool, Steve’s antics (along with his big, overgrown moustache) would have you believe he is a circus walrus performing tricks for you!  And boy-howdy, can he belly-flop!!!

Steve and Diana Cooper are an enjoyable and much welcome addition to our community.  We hope you have the opportunity to meet them! We all wish them and their family well in their adventures here in Mexico!!”

Now, here it is April 2006.

Steve & Diana are just putting on the finishing touches of “Robertos Bungalow” (constructed by Adalberto Garcia) and they soon will be open for business!!

Nestled in amongst the palms and tropical jungle surroundings you will find Robert's Bungalows. A beautiful vacation spot located north of Puerto Vallarta in the peaceful serene village of San Francisco (San Pancho) Nayarit, Mexico! Featuring five new air-conditioned bungalows for a vacation close to the beach and away from the crowded tourist areas. With quite serene surrounding and all the amenities of larger resorts with complete kitchens, pool, beach, DSL Internet connection in every room! Roberto wants your stay with them to be memorable and relaxing! Make Reservations now and don't miss out on a vacation you will never forget!

In 2004 while vacationing in the Pacific Riviera of Mexico, the Cooper family discovered a beautiful coastline thirty five miles north of Puerto Vallarta in the state of Nayarit. Nestled in the palms is the small village of San Francisco (also called San Pancho) where the Cooper family fell in love with this serene and peaceful village!

Now the Cooper family lead by Steve and Diana Cooper from Salem, Oregon have returned to construct five vacation bungalows so everyone will have a chance to visit and see the beauty and serenity of this small Mexican coastal village.

Named and dedicated for Robert Cooper (the father) who is the family inspiration, the Cooper family invites everyone to visit them at Roberto's Bungalows and share in the majestic tropical jungle surrounding of San Pancho Nayarit, Mexico.

Congratulations to the Millers and the Coopers on the completion of Roberto’s Bungalows!  They are beautiful!!

Until next time,
