Arroyos Verdes – Grand Opening
By Landon Hollander • May 2009

Easter Saturday was the occasion for the much anticipated Grand Opening Cocktail Reception for Architect Guadalupe Dipp’s Los Arroyos Verdes. Guests from Nayarit and Jaliscoas well as other corners of Mexico eagerly crowded the impressive facility in the early evening for a first look at the complex and to enjoy the beautiful surroundings whilst being wined, dined and serenaded by a wonderful Mariachi group.

Arroyos VerdesThe amazing complex in the low lying hills outside Bucerias (a mere three minutes from the highway) is surpisingly remote and serene, the air fragrant with the scents of the countryside so often obscured in the city, towns and villages moments away. The development, which Arq. Dipp describes as “GREEN. Sustainable, conserving resources while harmonizing with nature,” is on the one hand a boutique hotel facility with full amenities on ground and via concierge. It may also be considered as a temporary housing alternative as rates for the one bedroom (soon to include 2 and 3 bedrooms as well) units are available for extended weekly, monthly and yearly stays.

As an alternative to the abundance of all-inclusive resort hotels around the bay, Los Arroyos Verdes offers a pleasant alternative to short and long term visitors. Far enough removed to be pastoral with far away views of the Bay and Vallarta, yet close enough in to be a short drive to some of the best restaurants and activities in the Riviera Nayarit, it is a seriously fresh approach to hospitality for theregion.

Arroyos VerdesThe facilities have been designed with an eye to the future as a venue for major banquets and events. The amazing pool and trellis/pergola covered lounge area could not be more apropos for a statement gathering. The surrounding grounds are lusciously landscaped and filled with art works, both natural and whimsical. Full Spa services (with complimentary use of the pool) are currently available and the pool is being offered on a Day-Pass program to non-guests, subject to availability.Email to a friend
