In a spectacular event celebrated in the Velas Hotel Vallarta, the host of the tournament, the organizing committee of the 4th Golf Cup Vallarta officially announced the format for this year's tournament, as well as the list of prizes and the mechanics for handing them over.
 Mr. Luis Anagarita took the floor in a very emotional way in order to mention and to clearly distinguish each and every one of the sponsors of the event, without whom, he said emphatically, the tournament would not be possible. Luis Anagarita added that this year the number of attending professional players who were invited by the organizing committee has increased. This assures that the level of playing observed during the tournament will be a very high one, generating great emotion and competition since the beginning.
The local, national and international press were present at the event, as well as the sponsors, some of the competing teams, golf course directors and professionals, representatives of the different tourist sectors, representatives of the municipal and state government, as well as the local golf community of Vallarta.
 The format of the tournament PRO-AM, formed by teams where there is one professional player and three amateurs, will be the best ball. The amateur players play with 80% of their handicap
The best places in all categories will be awarded. The professionals will compete for a prize money of $200,000 Mexican pesos, while the amateurs will do it for prize money of %50,000 Mexican pesos. The prizes for a hole in one are spectacular, amongst which a condominium with a value of USD $550,000 in the Shangri-La development stands out. The tournament will take place on the golf courses of El Tigre in Nuevo Vallarta and Nicklaus' Vista Vallarta respectively on November 11th and 12th.
 The tournament is one of the main events to be held in our destination in the month of November, contributing in a very special and specific manner in order to increase the diffusion of Puerto Vallarta as a golf destination amongst a market of travelers with a high purchasing power.
The night was spectacular. A true commitment of the organizing committee for the tournament to develop in an impeccable way from start to finish manifested itself in every moment.
