Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to see if you can help
me. I lived in Puerto Vallarta for 3 months from April
to July of this year. I was a volunteer at a place called
"Pasitos de Luz" in Pitillal. It is a day
care centre for disabled children. I loved working with
the staff and the children there and want to stay in
touch with how they are doing and send donations whenever
I can.
Unfortunately since returning to
England I have been unable to get an email address or
find the street address. The person that organized my
trip and who lives in Bucerias has been trying to find
it but she hasn’t been in touch with me recently.
I was wondering if would be able
to find me an address so that I can get in touch with
everyone there. I understand that you must be very bust
but would greatly appreciate any help you could give
me.
Thank you very much for your time
Best Wishes

Hello-
Will you have information in your publication this month
about Dia los Muertos festivities and events?
Many Thanks,
Wendy
Dear Wendy,
Yes, we will, in next week’s issue. Look for it,
it is a fascinating tradition in Mexican culture.
The Ed.
Dear Editor,
It would be appreciated very much
if you could offer some information on Christmas Day
at Casa Hogar, or the other orphanage that I am not
familiar with. About 4 yrs. ago myself and a few friends
went to Casa Hogar Christmas day and had a wonderful
time with the kids. We would like to contact someone
to see if it is still an option and also what we can
bring for the children.
We enjoy reading your newspaper on-line
weekly from Canada, keeps us posted as to all the "happenings".
Thanks for any information you may be able to forward
to us.
Yours truly,
Cindy & Steve
Dear Cindy & Steve,
Casa Hogar does not have an e-mail address
to the best of our knowledge. However, you can call
there and we’re sure that they will be more than
happy to tell you what would be most appreciated by
the children.
Their number is +52 (322) 221-1908.
The Ed.
Hi,
As residents in the area - La Cruz
de Huanacaxtle to be precise, we almost always are unaware
of the local happenings in the Puerto Vallarta area,
such as processions, festivals, musical events at Los
Arcos, theatre productions, etc. Often we hear about
these events after the fact. And, if we who live here,
don't know about them, then the tourist industry is
certainly missing out on these incredible experiences.
I have often looked on your site
for this type of information, as well as in the Tribune,
generally to no avail unfortunately.
Would this be something you could
possibly add? If not, do you know of any source where
this type of information could be obtained?
Thank you so much for your attention.
Anneke Jennings
Dear Anneke,
Unfortunately, yours is a very common complaint
around these parts. Few if any of the media are informed
of events in this town in time for publication. Nevertheless,
we all continue to do our best to try to convince the
Cultural Department to send us all their notices as
early as possible.
The Ed.
