Re: Your wonderful
newspaper Dear Editor, And here we
thought that we were so unique... that we had found a little bit of paradise,
this jewel of the Pacific, 15 years ago, and that no one else knew about it, or
cared about it more than just a place to vacation once. Which
means that we came down originally on a package vacation, then purchased a time
share, then tore up our RCI contract because we did not want to exchange, then
purchased a second, then purchased a third... and perhaps someday we can really
spend time in PV. Each year's trip has been more pleasant and more perfect than
the year before. We both want to thank you so much for
being our eyes and ears and sharing with us not only the devastation of the hurricane,
but the wonderful spirit of the people (through pvmirror.com). We care about PV,
and we are so thrilled to discover that so many others feel exactly the same way
about it. Sandy & Jerry Meyers Illinois, U.S.A.
Hi
Anna! I always read your column on a weekly basis. I live
in Denver, Colorado but own a condo on Los Muertos beach and travel to PV about
8 times per year. Unfortunately, they are always for short trips. Some
time ago you had written about TelMex and the frustration you have with paying
online. Well, I am happy to report that they have finally come up with a website
for Canadians and Americans to pay your phone bills from anywhere in the world.
The site is https://www.telmexusa.com/english/ and it actually works! The only
prerequisite is that you register with them via 800# telephone and they give you
a customer number. Try it out and let your readers know about it. I
also wish to print out your column regularly for my wife, but unfortunately it
never seems to print properly. I always lose your words on the far right side
and am not sure why this is so. Have you tried to print it out yourself? Any ideas
you can give me to correct the problem would be appreciated. Thanks! Edward
Padalinski Dear Edward, Thank
you so much for the tip. I tried it, but although it is ideal for folks who need
to pay their telephone bills from up north, it is not so great for those of us
who live down here year round and choose not to use their Canada or U.S.A.- issued
credit cards to make payments online. The easiest
way to print a text you find on a web site is still done by blocking it, copying
it into a new Word document and then printing it from there. I assure you, you
will not lose a single word
