Successful Call for Blood Donation

Last Monday, we sent an urgent call to all of our Newsletter recipients. The response for that call was just incredible! Here is a copy of the email we received from the relatives of Shirley, who was in San Javier Hospital because blood was pooling in her lungs, which made breathing difficult, and that left the rest of her body without enough blood to function, except for the DONATIONS, she would have not been able to travel home to Illinois. Her condition is really un-diagnosed.

"Thank you so much for your help in getting the word out about needing A negative blood for my sister-in-law, Shirley Dare. The response from the La Cruz, Bucerias, and Nuevo Vallarta community was just overwhelming. We also had a donor who got the word through the Friendship Club. The blood bank in San Javier is astonished that we were able to find ANY blood of her type.

Anyway, to up-date you on Shirley's condition. she was able to fly back to the States on Wednesday, 25th of February, accompanied by her son. She had oxygen throughout the whole trip and is now in the hospital in Evanston, Illinois. If it hadn't been for the blood, she would not have been strong enough to make the trip. Thanks again.
