Tourists Never to Have a Bad Image of Vallarta

Within one month, ecologic police to be empowered to sanction those who don't comply.
The cleanup campaign in which directors and functionaries from different dependencies has been extended to volunteer City Hall employees. This is action with a strictly social sense with the main purpose of raising awareness among the citizens on the importance of keeping our city clean for the sake of improving its image.
In his weekly press conference, Mayor Gustavo Gonzalez Villaseñor commented on the sanitation campaign, and made the announcement that within one month, the Ecologic Police, which was created to see to this type of problems, will have the power to sanction or fine those people who far from contributing to cleanup actions, generate trash either on streets and roads, in front of their homes and business, and said that with this measures, never again our visitors will have a bad impression of Puerto Vallarta.
He denied that employees are being forced to participate in the cleanup tasks, and added that on the contrary, some employees of the Public Works, Public Services Department or other dependencies. These outdoor activities also allow the supervision of works in progress, and to eradicate graffiti that affects the image of the city. As to the power of the Ecology Police, Mayor Gonzalez said that previously, the public will be informed about these measures, so nobody will be caught unaware. During the first five days of the campaign, an average of 113 people have participated each day, and 650 garbage bagfuls have been rind of graffiti.

Reitera llamado a sectores y sociedad a participar en la campaña de limpieza integral del destino Anuncia que en un mes la Policía Ecológica tendrá facultades para sancionar a quienes no colaboren.
Al reiterar que la campaña de limpieza en la que participan directores y funcionarios de las distintas dependencias, se ha hecho extensiva para que de manera voluntaria colabore el personal del Ayuntamiento, el presidente municipal Gustavo González Villaseñor, manifestó que es una acción con un sentido estrictamente social que lleva como fin motivar y concientizar a toda la ciudadanía, sobre la importancia de mantener limpia nuestra ciudad en aras de mejorar su imagen.
Así mismo dio a conocer que a mas tardar de un mes, la Policía Ecológica, creada para atender este tipo de problemas, tendrá facultades para proceder a sancionar o multar a aquellas personas que lejos de contribuir en las acciones de limpieza, generen basura ya sea en la vía publica, frente a sus hogares o negocios, y dijo que con estas medidas nunca más los visitantes se llevarán una mala impresión de Puerto Vallarta. En su acostumbrada conferencia de prensa de inicio de semana, el munícipe rechazó que se obligue a empleados municipales a realizar dichas tareas, sino por el contrario refirió que algunos trabajadores le han manifestado su interés en participar, y dijo que la intención es invitar a los ciudadanos, comités de juntas vecinal, deportistas, ecologistas y en general a todos los sectores sociales para que también contribuyan en algo que es fundamental para el destino.
A una semana de iniciada la campaña "La mañana empieza con la limpieza", el primer edil hizo un recuento de los resultados de estas acciones en las que personalmente participa recolectando basura desde los 6 de la mañana en los diferentes puntos establecidos, y promoviendo además la participación de la población en las distintas colonias del municipio.
Dijo que la campaña, en estos primeros días de iniciada, ha permitido además detectar otro tipo de necesidades en la ciudad donde se requiere alumbrado, arreglo de calles y otros servicios qu3e ameriten la intervención de las direcciones de Servicios Municipales, Obras Públicas, o cualquier otra dependencia; pero igual para constatar avances de obra en proceso, así como el ir erradicando el "graffiti" que tanto afecta la imagen de la ciudad.
En cuanto a las facultades que en unas semanas tendrá la Policía Ecológica para sancionar, González Villaseñor indicó que previamente se esta dando aviso a la población sobre estas medidas para que en su momento nadie se diga sorprendido. Indico que esta en proceso el reglamento respectivo que será la base para actuar.
Aseguró pues que no habrá más basura, graffiti o cualquier otra situación similar que afecte la imagen de Puerto Vallarta en toda la franja turística. "Ningún turista se va llevar una mala impresión del destino; tenemos una buena percepción de nuestros visitantes sobre nuestra imagen, por lo que tenemos que fortalecerla cada día más". Cabe mencionar que en los primeros cinco días de campaña, en el que han intervenido un promedio de 113 personas por día, hasta el sábado anterior se habría recolectado alrededor de 650 bolsas de basura y borrado varias bardas con graffiti.

Puerto Vallarta to Pay Tribute to Singer-Composer Juan Gabriel

 Juan Gabriel is the author of a myriad of musical themes, among them "La Guirnalda", performed by Spanish singer Rioci Durcal, dedicated to Puerto Vallarta, who composed the song in one of his visits to this Port in the decade of the ´80s, thus taking the name of this destination around the globe.
This is the reason why the City Hall has decided to pay homage to the artist, not only because of his successful career, but also because of his great contribution to the promotion of Puerto Vallarta . All the preparations are being carried out for this great happening, since besides the homage, a great concert is being organized to take place on the same stage where Raul Di Blasio's concert, took place last May 31. by the way, Raul Di Blasio is expected to perform at Juan Gabriel's concert, where he will be accompany not only Juan but other artists as well.
Enthused because the singer has accepted the distinction, the mayor has set out to invite all the inhabitants of the municipality to just like they did Di Blasio's concert, attend this great event that without doubt will dress and promote the destination.
During a tour of several colonias, the mayor confirmed the homage to Juan Gabriel's Concert for world Peace at 20:15 hours by the Seahorse. He also said that this is a present from the City to all the residents and visitors.

 El presidente municipal, Gustavo González Villaseñor, promueve entre la ciudadanía el homenaje que el Ayuntamiento de Puerto Vallarta organiza en honor del cantante y compositor mexicano, Juan Gabriel, quien con ese motivo ofrecerá un concierto gratuito en el malecón de esta ciudad, el próximo 11 de noviembre.
El autor de infinidad de temas musicales, entre otros, "La Guirnalda" que interpreta la cantante española Rocío Durcal, dedico a Puerto Vallarta, lo compuso Juan Gabriel en una de sus visitas a este puerto en la década de los ochentas, colocando el nombre de este destino en todo el mundo, razón por la que el gobierno municipal decidió hacerle este homenaje, no sólo por sus exitosa carrera artística, sino por su gran aportación a la promoción de este lugar. Por ello el ayuntamiento realiza todos los preparativos para este magno acontecimiento, ya que además del homenaje, se organiza un gran concierto en el mismo lugar donde el pasado 31 de mayo lo hicieron el pianista argentino Raúl Di Blasio, quien también estará acompañando a Juan Gabriel, al igual que otros artistas y cantantes.
Y entusiasmado porque el cantante mexicano aceptó la distinción, el primer edil se ha dado a la tarea de invitar a todos los habitantes del municipio, para que al igual que lo hicieron con Raúl Di Blasio, asistan a este gran evento que sin duda darán también una mayor realce y promoción al destino.
Gonzalez Villaseñor, en su recorrido de fin de semana por las colonias de la ciudad, confirmó el homenaje a Juan Gabriel el próximo 11 de noviembre, quien a su vez dará un concierto "Por la paz del mundo", a las 20:15 horas, a la altura del caballito de Mar, que es el símbolo más representativo de Puerto Vallarta.
Ha dicho también que este magno evento es un regalo del ayuntamiento que preside, para los residentes y visitantes de este destino.

CUCosta Trains Tourist Guides
Certification and Updating not optional, but mandatory.
Provided by Ambito  On August 30, like every year, at the Coastal University Center of University of Guadalajara , the tourist guide certification course kicked off, thanks to an agreement the Jalisco Tourist Secretariat, as explained by the coordinator of the Tourism area and the courses, Carlos Virgen Aguilar.
He explained that the course lasts five months, and is aimed at person who want to be trained and certified as tourist guides.
"These courses are for new applicants, we have started off with 25 new people who want to be certified tourists guide, and on September 8, the updating course for active tourist guides will commence."
He said that it is estimate that 150 works in this field of the tourist activity in Puerto Vallarta and the Bahia de Banderas, and that CUC has been training these human resources for several years now. "This certificate course and the update course are taught in compliance with the Official Mexican Norm (NOM) 08-TUR-2002, which demands all person who would like to work in this activity to obtain a certification from the Tourist Secretariat, and the University of Guadalajara holder of an agreement and authorized to issue those certifications.
Virgen Aguilar said that besides the certificates, there are other requirements to be able to become a tourist guide.
Anyone interested in working within this activity must posses a vast knowledge of the history of the region, or the place where her or she want to be guide; besides the courses they must have knowledge in other areas of alternative tourism depending on the specific activity or the place where they work.

Capacita el CU Costa a Guías de Turistas
La acreditación y actualización no son una opción, son obligatorias.
Provisto por Ámbito Este 30 de agosto y como cada año el Centro Universitario de la Costa de la Universidad de Guadalajara, inicio el curso para los guías de turistas de Puerto Vallarta, en convenio con la Secretaria de Turismo de Jalisco (Setujal), y la Secretaria de Turismo Federal, explico el coordinador de la carrera de Turismo y de los cursos Carlos Virgen Aguilar.
Explico que el curso funciona como un diplomado el cual tiene una duración de 5 meses, y esta dirigido a las personas que desean acreditarse como guía de turistas.
"Estos cursos son para los nuevos aspirantes a guía de turistas, hemos arrancado con 25 nuevas personas que buscan acreditarse para esta importante actividad y el próximo 8 de Septiembre iniciarán los cursos de actualización para los que ya cuentan con acreditación".
Dijo que se estima un promedio de 150 personas que se dedican a esta actividad del sector turístico en Puerto Vallarta y Bahía de Banderas, y en el que el CUC tiene ya varios años capacitando a estos recursos humanos. "Este diplomado y curso de actualización se dan en cumplimiento de la Norma Oficial Mexicana (NOM) 08-TUR-2002, el cual exige a todas las personas que deseen dedicarse a esta actividad una acreditación de la Secretaria de Turismo, y la U de G tiene ese convenio y autorización para impartirlo".
Virgen Aguilar manifestó que además de los cursos, la Secretaria de Turismo, pide varios requisitos para ejercer la profesión. "Quien se dedique a esta actividad debe tener un basto conocimiento en historia de la región o del lugar donde se guía, además de los cursos de ada año, también debe de tener conocimientos en otras áreas del turismo alternativo según la actividad especifica o lugar donde se desempeñe".

Federal Government Issues Cruise Policy
Provided by Ambito Mexico says yes to cruises, and seeks an orderly growth of the industry that can be beneficial to Mexicans.
 On August 26, the Federal Government, through the Ministries of Tourism and Communications and Transport, issued its Cruise Policy, which was published by the Official Diary of the Federation. Said policy establishes the criteria, principles, strategies and fundamental lines of action that the Mexican State will implement to boost the cruise industry in the country.
In the introductory consideration of the agreement, both ministries state that it is of public interest to propitiate the orderly development of cruise tourism, multiplying its benefits and minimizing its negative effects, because it is a segment that contributes to diversifying destinations, favors their grown and promotion, and has the potential to contribute to increase the life conditions of receiving communities.
Like wise they indicate that in the integration of this policy, all sectors involved in the tourist cruise industry participated, which will allow for clear, expedite action according to the economic and social priorities contained in the actions that have to be taken for the sake of the nation's well-being.
A long Term Vision.
In face of the challenge to maximize the benefits of the cruise industry to the inhabitants of receiving communities, as well as reducing their possible impact, an integral, long term vision is required, shared by the three levels of government, and the social and private sectors.
In this regard, the Cruise Policy issued by the three levels of Government of the Republic seeks to give bearing and certainty to the activities of this industry, promoting coordination between federal dependencies and the local governments and the relation with the Integral Port Administrations, cruise terminal operators, tourist operators and service providers related with the activity.
The agreement published by the Diary of the Federation encompasses a series of the Federation encompasses a series of policy outlines, from ways to improve and increase tourist services up to those relative to personal safety, as well as that of the ships and port facilities, with the aim to extend the benefits generated by the cruise industry into the communities where passengers disembark.
Some objectives of the Cruise Policy are:
- To promote orderly growth of the cruise industry in Mexican tourist destinations.
- To promote aligning of the actions by federal government dependencies with faculties as to cruise matters.
- To propose schemes to multiply social and economic benefits from cruises in receiving communities.
- To boost the increase of competitiveness and sustainability levels of tourist cruise destinations.

Emite el Gobierno de la Republica la Política de Cruceros
Provisto por Ámbito México le dice si a los cruceros, y busca que el crecimiento de esta industria sea ordenado y en beneficio de los mexicanos.
 El gobierno Federal, a través de la Secretarias de Turismo y de comunicaciones y Transportes, emitió el día 26 de Agosto de 2004 la Política Publica de Cruceros por medio de su publicación en el Diario Oficial de la Federación. Dicha política establece los criterios, principios, estrategias y líneas fundamentales de acción que instrumentara el Estado Mexicano para impulsar la industria de los cruceros en el país.
En las consideraciones introductorias del acuerdo, ambas dependencias señalan que es de interés publico proporcionar el desarrollo ordenado del turismo de cruceros, potenciando sus beneficios y abatiendo sus efectos negativos, por ser un segmento que contribuye a la diversificación de destinos, favorece el conocimiento y la promoción de ellos, y tiene el potencial para contribuir a elevar el nivel de vida de las comunidades receptoras.
Asimismo, indican que en la integración de esta política participaron los sectores involucrados en la industria de cruceros turísticos, lo que permitirá actuar de manera clara, expedita y con apego a las prioridades económicas y sociales contenidas en las acciones que se deban realizar a favor de la nación.
Para poder hacer frente al reto de potenciar y maximizar los beneficios de la industria de cruceros a los habitantes de las comunidades receptoras, así como de reducir sus posibles impactos, se requiere de una visión integral y de largo plazo compartida por los tres niveles de gobierno y los sectores social y privado.
En tal sentido, la Política Publica de Cruceros que ha emitido el Gobierno de la Republica busca dar rumbo y certeza alas actividades de esta industria, fomentando la coordinación entre las dependencias federales y los gobiernos locales y la relación con Administraciones Portuarias Integrales, operadores de terminales para cruceros, operadores turísticos y los empresarios prestadores de servicios relacionados con la actividad. El acuerdo que publica el Diario Oficial de la Federación contempla una serie de lineamientos de política que abarcan desde aspectos para incrementar y mejorar los servicios turísticos hasta los relativos a la seguridad de las personas, las embarcaciones y las instalaciones portuarias, con la finalidad de extender los beneficios que genera la industria de cruceros a las comunidades donde desembarcan sus pasajeros.
Algunos objetivos generales de la Política Publica de Cruceros son:
- Promover el crecimiento ordenado de la industria de cruceros en los destinos turísticos mexicanos.
- Fomentar la alineación de as acciones de las Dependencias del gobierno federal con facultad en la materia de cruceros.
- Ofrecer mecanismos para potenciar el beneficio económico y social de los cruceros en las comunidades receptoras
- Impulsar el aumento de los niveles de competitividad y sustentabilidad de los destinos turísticos de cruceros.
