NH Kristal Puerto Vallarta Proudly Announces Construction of "LA NORIA"

NH Krystal Vallarta streamlines and expands its world class hotel and will offer 194 new rooms which will include the highest quality and service standards. The “La Noria” section will start operations in December, 2007

NH Hoteles has marked a streamlining trend and a characteristic style shown in the continued evolution of NH Krystal Puerto Vallarta.

In 2003, NH Krystal Puerto Vallarta inaugurated its NH Club tower with 128 rooms. This new tower and the refurbishing Christine, one of the most visited clubs in Puerto Vallarta have welcome thousands of domestic and foreign tourists.
Now, as part of a major growth process, NH Hoteles announce the creation of the new “La Noria” section, which will offer 194 rooms, 173 of them, including 7 suites, will have a magnificent view of the Pacific Ocean a new shopping area will satisfy our guests’ varied tastes. “La Noria” section is scheduled to start operations in December 2007.

“With an investment of over 13 million dollars, the “La Noria” section will include a Spa with the best and most advanced muscle and cardiovascular machines, the most complete hydrotherapy equipment; a solarium, a massage room, and the most sophisticated beauty treatments. All of this in a privileged environment with a sophisticated avant-garde interior created by a group of top professional decorators team. A skilled staff will make you feel unique, said Francisco Medina, Director General, NH Las Américas Business Unit.

Comfort to be delivered by the “La Noria” section will include specialized areas for children; children’s playground and a children’s club; a Cyber Café Lounge with Internet, fax and copying services, a Deli shop with a selected variety of coffees. This friendly environment will be example of harmony and style and will make our guest’s stay more pleasant.

Additionally to the new La Noria investment, other successful projects have taken place. It is scheduled that by the end of 2006, 70%of the total inventory of rooms located in the existing areas will be completely refurbished. Villas.- With an investment close to $3 million, 23 villas will be refurbished that will be opened in December of this year.

Hotel Rooms.- With an investment of nearly one million, 166 rooms were refurbished in the Aqueduct Area that will be operating in December of the current year.

Javier Bravo Carbajal Sworn in as Mayor of Puerto Vallarta

In the presence of dignitaries from the political, business and social sectors, last December 31, Javier Bravo Carbajal was sworn in as mayor of Puerto Vallarta, for the 2007-2009 term.

Among the guests to the inauguration ceremonies were Emilio Chuayfett Chemor, Beatriz Paredes Rangel, as wellas Jalisco former governors Flavio Romero de Velazco and Guillermo Cosio Vidaurri; the Minister of the Jalisco’s SupremeTribunal Celso Rodriguez; President of the State Congress Salvador Cosio Gaona and workers’ leader, Rafael Yerena Zambrano.

In attendance at the ceremonies were also Federal Deputies, local Deputy Elect and former mayors of Puerto Vallarta, among them Rafael Gonzalez Pimienta, Jorge Lepe García, Marcelo Alcaraz, Efren Calderon Arias; as well as the mayor of Bahia de Banderas, Jaime Cuevas Tello.

In his inauguration address, Bravo Carbajal proposed a new style of governing by means of three mayor areas of government in the political, economical and social realms, and emphasized that his office will seek to preserve the harmony, balance and beauty of Puerto Vallarta, with absolute respect for the natural environment. As to the first of these three aspects, he made his position clear to work in complete harmony and collaboration with the Federal and State Governments, as well as the different sectors and social powers and the organizations that concur in this destination to safeguard governability, tranquility, peace and order, which will result in better social cohesion and prosperity for the municipality.“We prefer tranquility, peace, security and order, which we will maintain with firm hand, and the strength of the institutions and the law” he said.

Malecon Gets "Face Lift"

Vallartan Mayor invited the population to join in this campaign and to work together for Puerto Vallarta.

Aiming at making the center of town a more pleasant place, personnel from the sanitation department of the Public Services Department, started last Tuesday a thorough cleanup of the Malecon area, as part of a program designed to improve the image of this traditional zone.

Mayor Javier Bravo Carbajal supervised the work and pronounced for these types of actions, which will result in a friendly atmosphere with a better image for Vallartan families and visitors to enjoy.

The mayor called for the citizens to join in this campaign and to work together in order to achieve the development that Puerto Vallarta demands.

Public Security a Priority of the New Municipal Government

The event took place at the facilities of the Regional Police Academy, in the presence of Municipal Attorney Alfonso Bernal Romero, Municipal Secretary General Emigdio Hurtado Rolón, and Public Security Director Luis Carlos Vega Pamanes, as well as several Council members and other dignitaries.

Mayor Calls to Consolidate the Destination's Turist Quality

Certified quality services will strengthen the image of Puerto Vallarta on an international level: Mayor Javier Bravo

“Every action of this government has to be oriented towards the strengthening of tourism, in order to create expectations, allow for favorable conditions for those of us who live here” Mayor Javier Bravo Carbajal said at the award ceremony of the “H” Certification to hotels Canto del Sol, Melia, Velas Vallarta Suites Resort and Sheraton Bougainvilleas.

He went on to say that the recognition awarded to the four establishments is an incentive to the quality of tourist services the city offers, and will come to reinforce the position of Puerto Vallarta as a great destination on national and international levels. He reiterated the call for all to work together in the consolidation of this important activity for the economy of the city.

In attendance at the event were also State Secretary of Tourism Horacio Gonzalez Pardo and the head of the Municipal Tourist Department Marcelo Alcaraz Gonzalez; as well as the chairman of the Chamber of Commerce Luis Alberto Topete Zepeda.

Conurbation Plan Presented to Tourist Authorities

Mayor Javier Bravo: “this grand project is a reflection of the synergy of the different levels of government for the development of the region”

Last Monday, Mayor Javier Bravo participated in a meeting held by the authorities of the tourist sector, headed by Tourist Minister Rodolfo Elizondo Torres. The meeting was attended by businessmen, as well as state and municipal authorities from the region.

The meeting was held to the purpose of bringing closer together the different levels of government and the representatives of the region’s tourist sector around the newly announced Conurbation Master Plan for Bahia de Banderas, which embraces a broad vision of the integral development of the municipalities of Puerto Vallarta, Cabo Corrientes and Bahia de Banderas, as one single destination, while focusing on the priorities that will strengthen the future of the region as to tourism.

At the end of the meeting, Mayor Javier Bravo Carbajal said that the setting on motion of this grand project is a reflection of the synergy of the different governments as to consolidating this tourist corridor as one of the booming regions in our country, because -he said- “it embodies the joint work of the state governments of Nayarit and Jalisco, and the municipalities that make up the Bay of Banderas.

This tourist meet was attended by Jalisco Governor-elect Emilio Gonzalez Marquez, Nayarit Governor Ney Gonzalez Sanchez, President of the Senate Commision for Tourism Luis Alberto Coppola and Genearl Director of the National Tourist Foment Fund Miguel Gomez Mont.

Municipal Government and Water Company Coordinate Efforts

In order to reciprocate and give prompt response to the most important demands of the population, Mayor Javier Bravo Carbajal toured the Pitillal district sites where SEAPAL, Puerto Vallarta’s water and sewer company, carries out expansion works. He expressed his complete support to negotiate the required funding to see these works through, working for a better Vallarta for all.

Joined by SEAPAL Director Francisco Javier Rojas and Councilman Jorge Luis Garcia Delgado, as well as municipal functionaries, Mayor Bravo visited Magisterio, San Nicolas, Villas Real and other areas north of town. The works underway will result in better life conditions for families in these areas.

The head of the utilities company said that these works are benefiting 6,000 people directly, aiming at achieving a coverage area of 99% of the municipality as to the potable water network and 97% as to sewer.
