For those of you who are interested in learning more about Mexico, let me give you some data that may increase your knowledge of this country. I hope you'll find some of this info on our México Mágico interesting.

In case you were not too familiar with all of the states and their capitals, here is the Political Division of the Mexican Republic, the altitude (in meters), and how big they are (in square kilometers).

Least inhabitants: Baja California Sur with 423,000
State with most native inhabitants: Oaxaca with 1.93 million (1997)
State with least native inhabitants: Aguascalientes with 939 (1997)
State with highest school attendance: Distrito Federal with 10.2 grades finished
States with lowest school attendance: Oaxaca and Chiapas with only 5.7 grades
Most doctors: in the Distrito Federal with 270 for every 100,000 inhabitants
Least doctors: the State of Mexico with 73.7 for every 100,000 inhabitants
State with most Catholics: Zacatecas with 97.4% of its inhabitants (1997)
