The Bay of Banderas is protected
by the western Sierra Madre. This privileged region,
full of life, is considered Mexico’s paradise.
Due to its geography and climate, it is the perfect
site for numerous activities and adventures in the realm
of eco-tourism throughout the year.
Little by little, Puerto Vallarta
and its surroundings have become a world center for
eco-tourism and for the last few years, it has begun
to attract a select sector of international travelers
eager to reconnect with nature and with their inner
selves.
The demand for this topic has also
grown steadily among our readers. Therefore, in order
to fulfill their requests while offering them the most
complete information, starting next week we will be
publishing a new section called “Eco-Tourism”
where our main contributor will be Alejandro [Alex]
Martínez who, apart from being a member of the
Grupo Ecológico de Puerto Vallarta, is a passionate
bird watcher and student of the local ecology. Alex
is a specialized, certified guide who is pleased to
share his wonderful experience with us. In Puerto Vallarta,
Alex offers his guide services through his own enterprise,
“Nature
Tours”.
Through his contributions, Alex will
complement our friend Professor Fabio Cupul in familiarizing
us with the marvelous natural world of the living beings
who live temporarily or permanently in the exuberant
nature that surrounds, protects and embellishes the
entire Bay of Banderas.

Bienvenido Alex!....
La Bahía de Banderas protegida
por la Sierra Madre Occidental, es una zona privilegiada
llena de vida y considerada el paraíso de México.
Por sus características geográficas y
climatológicas es el lugar perfecto para realizar
diversas actividades eco-turísticas o de aventura
en cualquier época del año.
Poco a poco Puerto Vallarta y sus
alrededores se están convirtiendo en un centro
mundial eco-turístico que desde hace algunos
años ha comenzado a atraer un selecto sector
de viajeros internacionales ávidos de conectarse
consigo mismos y con la naturaleza.
Cada día la demanda por este
tema también se incrementa entre nuestros lectores,
y con el propósito de brindarles la más
completa información al respecto, a partir de
la próxima semana publicaremos una nueva sección
denominada “Eco-Turismo” donde nuestro principal
colaborador será Alejandro [Alex] Martínez,
quien además de ser miembro del Grupo Ecológico
de Puerto Vallarta A. C., es un apasionado observador
de aves y estudioso de la ecología en la zona.
