It is a known fact that Puerto Vallarta is Mexico’s best known gastronomic destination. Proof of that is the consolidation of its yearly Gourmet Festival, now in its XIII year.
The way I see it, Its main attributes are:
- The great motivation of all to participate, be it as organizers, as participants or as customers
- An impeccable and professional coordination and timing of all its elements, publications and promotion
- The highest quality of its participants and their invited chefs
It is not by sheer luck that such an event should consolidate as the Gourmet Festival of Puerto Vallarta has. It is the harmonious participation of the above mentioned factors which provides the prime material for the birth of a real tradition.
The night of November the 8th at the Patio of Thierry’s Steak House in Peninsula Mall, a great celebration took place, the Opening of the XIII Gourmet Festival of Puerto Vallarta.
A fiesta full of music, because in addition to the orchestra, all conversations sang of histories of achievement, style, creativity and delicious moments that are music to our ears.
A fiesta full of fireworks, because with each presentation of an invited chef, their name, origin and bright course, brought in us a similar emotion as when each of the fireworks lit up the sky.
And a fiesta full of friendship, because service is a reflection of our friendliness. Friendship allows us to celebrate this feat together. And we become all winners.
A fiesta that extends over ten days, where the restaurants and the hotel restaurants will emphasize the sophistication of their service, with special menus, chef’s tables at which the invited chef will prepare his menu, commenting on its preparation and ingredients with his guests.
A fiesta in which the local chefs have the opportunity to show how far they have come, and where they can also update their knowledge with new ingredients and techniques being developed in other continents through these days of collaboration with their invited chefs.
And finally, a fiesta in which all Vallartenses and tourists visiting the Bay of Banderas, can even better enjoy our local gastronomy, because from November 8th to the 18th, we party!
