According to the "Vallarta Tribune" in May 2002, Puerto Vallarta is the third most popular city in Jalisco for commercial/retails investment for this year. Wal-Mart, Mega Comercial, the expansion of Gigante in Plaza Caracol and of Comercial Mexicana in Plaza Marina, have given PV this third ranking after Zapopan and Guadalajara. At least 800 new jobs have resulted in the city.

4994 small business applied for business permits* from Jan-April 2002. Of these new businesses, 14 were new real estate companies.

On a lighter note, this receipt for Mango Mousse is from Gaby Almada who owns and operates the excellent "La Mejor Opcion Restaurant" on Josefa Ortiz de Dominguez.
