Festival Gourmet Press Conference

Twelve years are relative but undoubtedly for the Festival Gourmet means a victory that its founders will enjoy this month of November, the Chefs Thierry Blouet, Heinz Reize and Roland Menetrey.

And it is that after caressing for years the dream of being able to join the best local restaurants to present in Puerto Vallarta the most varied and original world-wide gastronomy, now when they look back they realized that the effort was fully paid by having today one of the most important Festivals worldwide.

In press conference and after recognizing the previous, Thierry Blouet, owner of the Café des Artistes restaurant, remembered next to his co-founders the essence of the Festival Gourmet: “being always together to offer the best of this event and we do not want to lose never this philosophy”, and after that he requested one minute of silence in honor to Chef Roger Dreier, who was one of the pioneers of the “Good Table” in Puerto Vallarta and passed away recently.
 
In the event they were besides mass media and guests, representatives of the diverse houses of suppliers of ingredients for the best gastronomy as well as chefs and owners of the 22 participating restaurants in this first class festival gourmet that will last 10 days and will initiate next November 9 and until the 19 of the same month.
 
It is necessary to mention that inside the program they have contemplated besides the traditional Chefsreception, other important special events as the one titled “Cheeses of the world” where the guests will be able to taste varioustypes of cheese accompanied by good international wines; the Festival Brunch with an extravagance gourmet where the well-known can be unexpected; the Chef’s Table and winemakers; the demonstration of gourmet cucine that will include a recipe book and a sample of wines for the participants and finally the  Grand Gala Dinner with the theme “The Spirit of Mexico”  that will be the final touch and will take place in the facilities of the beautiful Casa Velas Boutique Hotel where the recognitions for the sponsors, restaurants and participating chefs will be given.

It is necessary not to forget that during the 10 days of the Festival Gourmet each one of the restaurants will offer to its guests the menus of the most diverse countries that go from France, Switzerland, U.S.A., Italy, Germany, Indonesia and also Mexico City.

To finish the event the services suppliers thanked the opportunity to be able to work together for the successful accomplishment of this Festival that has left an excellent flavor of mouth to the nationals as to the visitors who every year increase their visits during this season to be “tasters” of the best Festival Gourmet of the world.
