Barcelona - without any doubt one of
the best restaurants in town!. |

 Finally after trying for almost a month, I called
Claudia on Thursday night to tell her that that night
we would dine at Barcelona Tapas Bar, and no more excuses.
You can already notice the
motion of high season, therefore I mentally asked
that the restaurant would not be too full because I had no desire to wait.
My petition was answered, but not by the clients - the place was packed.
We arrived at almost 9 pm and from the street we could already hear the far
away murmurs of people´s conversations, on top of the background music
and the noise of plates and cutlery.
We had to wait a few minutes for a vacant table while enjoying the beautiful
view. The wait most certainly was worthwhile. The location of our table was
great and the flavor of the food was exquisite - like always.
This time I ordered " bisque of langostinos with crab meet " from
the special menu of the day and from the regular menu we choose " tuna
cannelloni " and " gambas al ajillo " I never
get tired of savoring the special flavor that William Carballo - the owner
- has managed to incorporate in every dish. For me, dining here, means coming
to enjoy Spanish style dishes, prepared with a Mexican flavor, surrounded by
a casual romanticism that is framed by an atmosphere of joy between friends.
That is why I say: "Without any doubt Barcelona is one of the best restaurants
in town". That night our bill - with dessert - was 330.00 Pesos including
our food and 2 non-alcoholic beverages.

My suggestion:
In case the place is full, ask the Walter to make
sure personally that they still have the dish you plan
to enjoy, especially if it is from the special menu
of the day. Everything is so delicious, that before
you can even think about it, the kitchen is out of
it.
It is important to know that the only credit card they accept is American Express.

sin duda uno de los mejores restaurantes en la ciudad!

Finalmente
después de casi un mes estar intentando,
el Jueves por la noche llamé a Claudia para
decirle que sin excusa esta noche cenaríamos
en el Barcelona Tapas Bar.
Ya se observa el movimiento
de la temporada alta, así que mentalmente pedí para que el
restaurante no estuviera lleno pues no deseaba esperar.
Mi petición fue escuchada, sin embargo no por
los clientes que abarrotaban el lugar. Llegamos casi
a las 9:00 p.m., y desde la calle podíamos escuchar
los murmullos de charlas a lo lejos, por encima de
un fondo musical y el ruido de platos y cubiertos.
Tuvimos que esperar algunos
minutos disfrutando de la vista mientras se desocupaba
una mesa. Por la ubicación
de nuestra mesa y el exquisito sabor de siempre, por
supuesto que valió la pena esperar.
En esta ocasión del menú especial yo
pedí el " bisque de langostino con cangrejo ",
y del menú regular cenamos el " canelon
de atún " y " gambas al ajillo ".
No me canso de saborear el sazón tan especial
que William Carballo [el propietario], ha logrado darle
a cada platillo. Para mi, cada vez que ceno aquí es
venir a disfrutar de un platillo estilo español,
sazonado con sabor mexicano, rodeado de casual romanticismo
que es enmarcado por un ambiente de alegría
entre amigos. Por esto digo que: "No cabe duda
que Barcelona es uno de los mejores restaurantes en
la ciudad!" Esta noche por nuestros alimentos
incluyendo dos bebidas sin licor y postre, pagamos
$330.00 pesos.

Mi sugerencia:
Si
el lugar esta lleno, solicitarle al mesero que se
cerciore personalmente de que aun haya el platillo
que desea disfrutar, especialmente si es parte del
menú especial.
Todo es tan exquisito que cuando menos uno piensa,
ya se acabo!
