| La Petite France - For the body and the mind |
| December 1, 2002. | La
Petite France has become known among local lovers of culture for the constant
stream of events staged in its "Cultural Mezzanine". One evening recently,
accomplished author and socio-political commentator, analyst and journalist Sergio
Martinez presented his latest book, "Cuentos y Fabulas" (Stories and
Fables). The spacious mezzanine was filled all the way back to the bar area. The
audience composed of the crème de la crème of Vallarta sat silent
as the author read a couple of the short stories from the book. When it was all
over, Sr. Martinez received a well-deserved ovation and proceeded to sign the
dedications for all the people who had bought their own copies of his work.
Afterwards,
as has become the custom, everyone adjourned to the restaurant downstairs where
the early 1900's Parisian décor is so impressive as to make one forget
he's in Puerto Vallarta. Surrounded by huge posters of the works of Toulouse Lautrec,
listening to old French classics or live piano music, guests dine on the finest
French cuisine around - and the service is always impeccable.
Why
not pamper yourself? Enjoy an unforgettable breakfast, lunch or dinner at La Petite
