On June 29, 1945, young Doctor Antonio Sahagún arrived in Vallarta. He was a graduate from the Nacional University of Mexico. Although Sahagún was not very social, he was a nice man. He opened a small practice at the corner of Juarez and Corona and started the first clinical laboratories in town.
Doctor Sahagún was a progress-minded person who loved hunting. In 1957 he brought the first X ray machines to Vallarta.
Sahagún's hobbies included outer space research, for which he installed a big observatory on the terrace of his home. In 1947 he married young girl Carlota Gross Nava.
