What to expect from a Wedding Planner in Puerto Vallarta?

What should a couple expect from a Wedding Planner in Puerto Vallarta?

Honesty, service, clear information and immediate answers are four of the main attributes a couple should expect from any wedding coordinator in Puerto Vallarta.

The mere fact of entrusting us with one of the most important moments in their lives strengthens our commitment to make the couple feel completely confident in a team that will put their heart forth in processing and organizing this most important event.

The couple should expect detailed information from the coordinator on his company, full name, names of his assistants, address, phones, Email address, webpage depicting the services offered. Creating confidence and ease in the selection of items, and  supporting them with thoughtful recommendations based on his experience.

A couple should expect detailed and accurate information on the services they require, immediate answers (12-36 hours) to information requests, a coordinator must have the following information handy:

• Wedding locations with individual descriptions of each location

The wedding coordinator must offer a list of the ideal locations for the type of wedding the couple envisions, enclosing the following information:

Type of Location: Hotels, villas, homes, restaurants, public beaches, haciendas, ranches, clubhouses, etc. A map showing the exact location, accessibility, capacity and minimum and maximum facility use schedules.

Wedding Packages should include served or buffet meals options and the following special menu options: menus for kids, vegetarian menus, menus for allergies sufferers and persons on special diets.

Bar service options: open bar, corkage on consumption, cocktails detailing prices for various service options, clearly stating if tips and taxes are included and policy on price changes and payments and cancellations.

Set-up types, including colors of linens, types of chairs and their decorations, prices, forms of payment accepted by the various companies, (credit cards, rates of exchange).

 

• Types of Ceremonies

The wedding coordinator should offer the various options available, such as:

Civil Wedding: This is a legal celebration in Mexico and the wedding coordinator should inform the couple on all requirements.

Religious Wedding: in all of its forms, catholic, Christian, Jewish, Mormon, Buddhist, Methodist, etc.

Non Denominational Wedding: a spiritual celebration with no religion involved in its process, it is celebrated by a minister.
Theme Weddings, entertainment and shows:

The couple should expect suggestions from the wedding coordinator on fireworks, Mexican Fiestas, fire dancers, performances, Brazilian batucadas, folkloric singers, burros for photo shoots and polo games, day after celebrations, etc.

 

• Lodging options

A wedding coordinator should offer the couple with information on the various lodging options in all categories as well as homes and villas, including their web pages, names, phones and Email addresses and contacts of each.

 

• Transportations options

The couple should expect a list of transportation options according to the size and convenience of their group. Among these: Air conditioned deluxe motorcoach, vans, suburbans, special sedans with or without a chauffeur as well as taxis.

 

• Music Options

The weeding coordinator should have a list of all kinds of musical options including orchestras, mariachis, versatile combos, marimbas, jazz ensembles, quartets, trios, duos and soloists in all genders, pianists, harpists and DJ’s with light and sound systems, all previously contracted and with a proven reputation.

 

• Flowers

The weeding coordinator should counsel the couple on the different options needed for a wedding celebration, such as, bride’s and ladies’ bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages, arches, church flower arrangements, tables centerpieces, flowers for hair dresses, petals for pages and walkways and any other requirement from the couple.

 

• Photography services

The couple should receive a proposal on at least three reputed and qualified photographers with web pages where their work and package options can be evaluated. These should be available for direct contact so the couple can obtain answers to al their questions.

 

• Special services

The weeding coordinator should offer the couple with special services, such as: special attention to disabled guests, nannies, general medical and dentists services, dry cleaning, translations, tailor, emergency phones, etc.
